ABERDEEN, S.D. — While there’s been some recent activity on the northeast edge of town, the new Ag Processing Inc. plant is not quite open for business. The soybean processing plant, commonly called AGP, is in the final stages of development but is not currently processing, according to Matt Caswell, AGP vice president of member/corporate relations and government affairs. AGP broke ground at 4815 Eighth Ave. N.E. near County Road 14 in November 2015. The plant will crush 45 million to 50 million bushels of soybeans annually and employ 50 to 55 people.
