U.S. Grains president to speak to ag chamber in Minnesota

WILLMAR, Minn. — President and CEO of U.S. Grains Council Ryan Legrand has been invited to speak at noon Jan. 11 at the Willmar Conference Center. The event is being sponsored by the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Committee and the Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission Agriculture and Renewable Energy Development Committee.

The engagement, which will be held in person and over Zoom, will include a 30-minute presentation followed by a half-hour question and answer session. Legrand will be introduced by Chad Willis, a member of the Agri-Business Committee who is also serving on the U.S. Grains Council chairman.

According to event information, the U.S. Grains Council develops export markets for U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products and operates programs in more than 50 countries and the European Union.

Registration is required by Jan. 6 and can be done by emailing chamber@willmarareachamber.com or calling 320-235-0300. While attending the event is free of charge, those wanting to order lunch will need to pay $16 in advance at the time of registration.
