Yes, it's a scary weed

This photo -- taken a year ago during an educational tour in Nebraska -- was this reporter's first exposure to Palmer amaranth. Like others on the tour, I was both amazed and a little frightened by this dangerous weed.

Now, Palmer amaranth officially has been found in North Dakota, and I'm working on a story. Look for it later today on www.agweek.com , Agweek social media and in the Sept. 3 print issue of Agweek.
