Like me, you probably missed World Water Day on March 22. It was brought to my attention today, the 23nd.

There’s an awful lot of things Americans disagree on: climate change and GMOs, among many others. But surely all rational Americans can agree that a reliable supply water - for our homes, our factories and our fields - is absolutely vital.

It’s fashionable in some circles to trumpet that sooner or later, probably sooner, the world will run out of oil. Decide for yourself how much that should worry you.

For me, the bigger concern - and one the evidence clearly supports - is that fresh water supplies are limited and that demands on them are growing.
