AG RIGHT: A loss for aggies

I know agriculturalists who love '60s rock music. I know aggies who enjoy classical music. I even know a few who listen to grunge and punk. But it's fair to say, I think, that country is the music of choice for the majority of Upper Midwest aggies.

So it’s also fair to say that more than a few Agweek readers note with regret the death of Merle Haggard. The Hag, as he was known, had a long and successful career. His personal life, sadly, was often a mess, but, boy, could he sing.

He’ll be missed.

If you haven’t done it already, get out one of your Hag CDs or cassettes and play in in your tractor, barn or shop.
