A snowstorm so strong it blew over a Minnesota trooper

JACKSON COUNTY, Minn. — A fierce wind gust and an icy highway combined to knock a Minnesota state trooper off his feet as he directed traffic around a jackknifed semi during the snowstorm that swept through the Upper Plains this week.

The video was captured Thursday morning, April 11, at Highway 86 and Interstate 90 in Jackson County in southern Minnesota, and shared by the patrol on Twitter.

"The trooper was not injured but the video is a reminder of the conditions caused by this snowstorm," the patrol tweeted.
