We are all tired of winter. More than usual, it seems.
True, as winters go, this has not been a brutal one. In fact, that might be part of the problem. The lack of snow most of the winter has made it seem like something other than winter.
When we finally got a little steady snow cover these past few weeks, it wasn't much. But the cold the past few weeks has been hard.
Though not unusually cold, it has been below average throughout February after a mild December-January period.
In our region, winter always drags on into March and frequently into April.

Last year on this date, the low temperature was 19 degrees below zero with a high of 3 above.
But it seems most of us gave up on winter in January. If we're not going to have much of a winter, let's try for a nice spring instead.
But it seems the weather is stubbornly going to hang on to its poor excuse of a winter a while longer.
