More hgh temperatures are in the forecast for this weekend. This is not really unusual, because of the natural up and down nature of weather here in the Northern Plains. Historically, a day or two of weather in the 80s in October is actually quite common. The latest 80 degree day on record for Fargo Moorhead is 83 on October 25, 1989. There are seven days in October which hold record highs in the 90s. The latest is 90 set October 17, 1910. The most recent October 90 degree day was October 6, 1993. The most recent 80 degree weather in October was a five-day stretch in 2011 from Oct. 2 to 6. For perspective, the record high temperature for Saturday is 86 degrees set in 1955 and 2003. The record high for Sunday is 85 degrees set in 1943.
