Here in our northern region, June is really more of a spring month than a summer month.
June usually brings more cloudiness, more storminess, more wind, and more day-to-day changes in weather compared to July and August.
About 80 per cent of our thirteen average 90 degree days occur during July and August as well. Statistically, the odds of it being sunny and warm are highest from the end of the first week of July through the end of the third week of August.
Of course, cold fronts and rain systems can happen at any time in the summer in our region.
Steady hot weather is not guaranteed here in summer the way it is further south. But the part of our year when we are least likely to complain about the weather being cold starts right after the Fourth of July and lasts for the next seven weeks or so.
