It was a warm fall. In fact, it was almost a record warm fall. Autumn of 2015 had the second warmest average temperature on record for Fargo Moorhead. Records go back to 1881. For the months of September, October, and November, the average of the mean daily temperatures in Fargo Moorhead was 50.9 degrees which is 6.4 degrees above the long term average. The warmest autumn on record is 1963 with an average temperature of 51.4 degrees. September was 6.5 degrees above average and was the second warmest on record. October was 5.3 degrees above average and was the 13th warmest.  November was 7.4 degrees above average which ranks as fourth warmest. Two notable daily records were broken this fall.  The high of 97 degrees on October 11 broke the record for any day in October. The overnight low of 50 degrees on November 16 broke the record for the warmest daily low for so late in the season.
