Tucked away in an industrial part of downtown Fargo is a small farm.

The New Life Center, a homeless shelter, is one of a dozen organizations around the state that received a grant from the N.D. Department of Agriculture to plant orchards this spring.

Between 80 and 100 men stay at the shelter and they can work off their stay by working in the garden.
