Victim of fatal farm sprayer crash near Garrison, N.D., identified

GARRISON, N.D. -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a Garrison man who died Sunday night, June 12, after the farm sprayer he was operating collided with a pickup truck about five miles east of Garrison.

GARRISON, N.D. - The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a Garrison man who died Sunday night, June 12, after the farm sprayer he was operating collided with a pickup truck about five miles east of Garrison.

The crash occurred about 10:35 p.m. at the junction of U.S. Highway 83 and 17th Street Northwest.

The Highway Patrol said Kelly Erdmann, 57, was driving a sprayer across Highway 83 and going from a field to his residence when the sprayer was struck by a pickup driven by Jon Henderson, 28, of Minot.

Both men were taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Henderson was treated and released.

Erdmann was pronounced dead at the hospital, the Highway Patrol said.
