-- BROOKINGS, S.D. - VeraSun Energy Corp. says Patty Dickerson has been named the company's director of investor relations. Dickerson will be responsible for developing and executing VeraSun's global investor relations program. She comes to VeraSun from Ignis Petroleum Group, where she was vice president for external affairs, investor relations and corporate secretary. Before working at Ignis, Dickerson owned Energy Direct Communications, an investor relations and corporate communications company that specializes in working with clients in the energy sector. Dickerson earned her law degree from the Texas Tech School of Law and her bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University.
Illinois farmer re-elected president of Corn Growers-- ST. PAUL - The American Corn Growers Association board of directors unanimously re-elected Keith Bolin, a Manlius, Ill., corn and hog producer, president. ACGA also elected Troy Roush vice president. Roush farms with his father and two brothers near Van Buren Ind., producing corn, soybeans, wheat and popcorn on lands his family has farmed since 1828. Roush also produces tomatoes as co-owner of a business with two friends. In addition to Bolin and Roush, ACGA reelected Carl King of Dimmitt, Texas, chairman of the Board Emeritus; Keith Dittrich, Tilden, Neb., chairman of the board; Lars Herseth, Houghton, S.D., second vice president; David Dechant, Fort Lupton, Colo., secretary; and Mark Lounsbery of Revillo, S.D., treasurer. ACGA also re-elected these corn farmers to serve on the board of directors: Mike Alberts, Marquette, Neb.; Charles Mattis, Danville, Ill.; Sam Darwin, Huntsville, Ala.; Mark Kuhn, Charles City, Iowa; and Don Clifton, Milford, Del.
Cortney Bromenshenk earns Junior Bronze and Silver awards-- ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Cortney Bromenshenk of Billings, Mont., has earned the National Junior Angus Association's Bronze and Silver awards, according to James Fisher, director of activities and junior activities for the American Angus Association in St. Joseph, Mo. Bromenshenk, the 13-year-old daughter of Paul and Brenda Bromenshenk, is a student at Will James Middle School. She is active in the NJAA and the Montana Junior Angus Association. She has shown her Angus in numerous shows at the local, state and national levels. Bromenshenk represented her state as the Montana Angus Princess in 2006. She has participated in the National Junior Angus Show Mentoring Program. Bromenshenk has been a member of the National Junior Angus Association since 2001.
Logan Ipsen joins American Angus Association-- ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The American Angus Association says Logan Ipsen has joined its staff. Ipsen assumes the duties of the regional manager in the western U.S., including Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. Ipsen grew up on a purebred Angus and Hereford operation in Idaho. Ipsen earned a bachelor's degree at Utah State, where he was active in student senate and Animal Science Club.
