The UND Energy and Environmental Research Center has received $15.7 million from the U.S. Department of Energy to study water recovery technology.
A news release said the study looks at developing techniques and technology to extract usable water from carbon dioxide.
The award is the second phase of a project that studied carbon dioxide at a commercial saltwater disposal facility near Watford City, N.D.
