Scholarships available to horticulture, agronomy students living in 10th District of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society

The 10th District of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society is awarding a $500 scholarship to a college student who is pursuing a degree in horticulture or agronomy.

The 10th District of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society is awarding a $500 scholarship to a college student who is pursuing a degree in horticulture or agronomy.

To qualify, the student's parent(s) must reside in District 10. Counties in District 10 are Grant, Douglas, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, Big Stone, Lac qui Parle, Swift, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Renville, Yellow Medicine and Meeker. The student must be enrolled in college and have satisfactorily completed at least two quarters or one semester at an accredited two- or four-year college and must have taken one or more horticulture or agronomy classes.

Applications must be returned no later than February 1, 2016.

A winner will be selected by the scholarship committee and will be notified in the spring of 2016. The scholarship must be applied to tuition and/or books and the $500 check will be sent directly to the college.
