RCMP in Saskatchewan looking for thieves who stole canola from farm

KELLIHER, Saskatchewan -- Police in Saskatchewan are looking for thieves who made off with close to 1,000 bushels of canola. RCMP say that late last month, they responded to a report of a theft north of Kelliher in the Rural Municipality of Kelross.

KELLIHER, Saskatchewan -- Police in Saskatchewan are looking for thieves who made off with close to 1,000 bushels of canola.

RCMP say that late last month, they responded to a report of a theft north of Kelliher in the Rural Municipality of Kelross.

They say that someone stole the canola from a farm between Oct. 19 and Oct. 23.

Police say the canola was beneath a tarp and they believe someone used an auger to re-move it.

The canola is worth roughly $9,000.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have information to call their detachment in Melville, or Crime Stoppers.
