STE. AGATHE, Man. -- A hog barn fire near Ste. Agathe, Man., wasn't as deadly as first thought.
A blaze broke out in a barn housing 3,000 hogs just before 2 p.m. on Thursday.
At first, RCMP thought all the hogs had perished in the fire at Sunnybrook Swine.
But now they say only a dozen sows died.
Seven employees who were in the building when the blaze broke out managed to escape without being injured.

Firefighters from the rural municipality and two nearby communities responded to the blaze and managed to extinguish the fire.
