BISMARCK - The Alerus Center will be a shopper's paradise Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 8-9, when the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase returns to Grand Forks.

"With more than 115 vendor booths filled with North Dakota-made products, this is a great opportunity to do your holiday shopping," said Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson. "You will find a wide variety of gifts, including foods and condiments, decorative items, books, jewelry, recordings and much more."

The showcase is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday. Admission is $2 per adult, and parking is free for Showcase shoppers.

Johnson noted that once again Showcase patrons will receive a free reusable bag with their paid admission.

"We received a lot of positive feedback about last year's reusable bag promotion," Johnson said. "These bags can be used over and over again, reducing the use of disposable plastic bags that have become such an environmental problem."
