No one was injured in a fire at Cavendish Farms in Jamestown that occurred early Friday morning, said Lt. Sheldon Mohr with the Jamestown Fire Department.
The fire, which was caused “between two fryers” started around 5:30 a.m, Mohr said. Twenty-nine firefighters and six fire trucks were dispatched to the scene and were there for about an hour.
“The fire was ceased quickly,” Mohr said.
Mohr didn’t have further details about the cause of the fire. Cavendish Farms was unable to comment on the cause of the fire or the restoration of the building at this time.
Cavendish Farms is a producer of potato products, and is located at 5855 3rd St. SE in Jamestown.
