Helena, Mont. - The Montana Department of Agriculture  is reaching out to food and ag companies throughout the state to update its company directory and to identify companies that may be interested in marketing opportunities throughout the year.

When signing up to be included in MDA’s company directory, companies will also be able to indicate their interest in upcoming marketing opportunities. The Grown in Montana store will be at the Montana State Fair in Great Falls this July and August. In 2016, 19 companies participated with great success. MDA is also seeking companies to participate in the Montana Food Show in Bozeman this October. The Montana Food show is a new event exclusively for Montana food and ag companies; the event will include buyers from the wholesale, retail and foodservice industries. MDA is also offering marketing consultations to interested businesses, both in-person and via video meeting.

“These are some really incredible opportunities for Montana food and ag businesses to highlight their products in new and exciting ways,” said MDA Director, Ben Thomas. “Our staff works very hard to make sure participating companies see actual results from these shows and consultations.”

Those interested in any of these opportunities should visit http://agr.mt.gov/AgDir to fill out the Montana company directory form. The company directory is internal and only used to contact companies about upcoming opportunities. MDA is accepting submissions to the company directory through March 31.
