ST. PAUL, Minn. - Member farmers of the Minnesota Wheat Research and Promotion Council will vote in January on a proposed increase to their checkoff promotion. The current proposal is to change the check-off amount from one to 2 cents per bushel. The 1-cent-per-bushel checkoff rate has been in place since the wheat checkoff was established 30 years ago.
Wheat producers will vote on the referendum at locations throughout Minnesota January 15-25.
