Severe weather and heavy rains affected a large portion of the Dakotas and Minnesota since Saturday.
Severe thunderstorms produced large hail, damaging wind gusts, and torrential rainfall Saturday night and again Sunday night. Another round of heavy rain came in Monday afternoon, causing flooding across Lakes Country and further east across Minnesota.
Flash flooding occurred in the Detroit Lakes and Pelican Rapids areas Monday evening as 5-10 inches of rain fell since Saturday night. Here is a list of total rainfall since Saturday:
