Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative of Wahpeton, N.D., holds its 44th Annual Meeting on Dec. 6, at the Holiday Inn in Fargo.
TEAM, Together everyone achieves more, is the theme for this year’s meeting. Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Kurt Wickstrom will talk about the importance of focusing on the future and potential growth areas for the Cooperative.
Guest speaker Yvette d'Entremont, a speaker and author, willspeak on how science cna be more relatable in a social landscape of misinformation. She was working as an analytical chemist when she launched SciBabe as a side project.
"What started as a hobby for passion and fun turned into a full time job after a few viral successes," With an academic background in forensics and toxicology, a sharp BS detector, and a big dose of humor, she's taken her brand of science communication to make science more relatable and accessible in a social media landscape of misinformation.
Her first book, SciBabe's Ten Rules To BS Detection, will be out in 2017.
