FARGO - MeritCare Health System will lay off 75 to 100 employees later this week, according to Dr. Roger Gilbertson, president and chief executive officer, in a posting to the business's internal Web site Monday afternoon.
Other employees will have their hours reduced and some open positions will go unfilled, according to the posting. About 300 employees will be affected.
Details of the workforce reduction have not been finalized, but should be known by Thursday, Gilbertson wrote.
