DUBAI - Iran will ban rice imports from July 21, the agriculture minister was quoted as saying by the Tasnim news agency on Monday, aiming to protect domestic farmers during their harvest.

DUBAI - Iran will ban rice imports from July 21, the agriculture minister was quoted as saying by the Tasnim news agency on Monday, aiming to protect domestic farmers during their harvest.

Mahmoud Hojjati said Iran has imported 191,000 metric tons of rice this year, noting imports are already down from previous years.
