Hagstrom to speak at NDFU convention

Jerry Hagstrom, a Washington, D.C.-based journalist and Agweek contributor, will give a keynote address at the North Dakota Farmers Union annual state convention in Minot.

Hagstrom will speak at 1 p.m. Nov. 23.

"I will be reporting on the latest farm bill developments and other issues that I see as important to North Dakota farmers," says Hagstrom, a North Dakota native.

"I am thrilled to be invited to speak to the North Dakota Farmers Union since I grew up on a farm near Wilton (N.D.). I always look forward to coming home." he says.

The convention runs Nov. 22 to 23 at the Holiday Inn Riverside.

Michael T. Scuse, the U.S. Department of Agirculture's Under Secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services, will give the convention's other keynote address at 1 p.m. Nov. 22.
