The Grow MN Food Plan, sponsored by A Greater Minnesota, has received 77 Minnesota State House and Senate candidates to support policies for growth and protection of farms, food and agribusiness. The plan requests candidates commit to policies that support farms of various sizes and settings and research for improved practices, regulations and competition with other states.

"We are encouraged by the number of legislative candidates who have already responded to the Grow MN Food Plan and expect more to respond in the coming days leading up to the Nov. 8 elections," says David Preisler, executive director of the Minnesota Pork Producers Association and chairman of A Greater Minnesota. "We are especially pleased to see a large number of candidates backing all the Grow MN Food Plan priorities."

The group encourages voters to visit farmandfoodmn.org and support candidates who also support the plan.
