After a bitterly cold February, the temperatures in the region will feel downright balmy over the next week.
According to the National Weather Service, most of the Dakotas and Minnesota will feel temperatures in the mid-30s to low 40s Friday. Temperatures will cool a bit Sunday before rebounding Monday and into next week. Temperatures throughout the tri-state area will reach the mid-40s to low 50s.
Regionally, dry conditions persist. According to the United States Drought Monitor, much of the Dakotas and Minnesota is considered "abnormally dry," while parts of southeastern North Dakota, northeastern South Dakota and north-central Minnesota are considered to be "moderate drought" areas.
