BRASILIA - Brazil is studying the sale of agricultural storage assets held by crop supply agency Conab, Agriculture Minister Blairo Maggi said on Thursday, adding that he thought Conab should focus on regulation and rely on private storage providers when needed.
Crop storage is one of many areas where Brazil is considering privatizations to shore up the finances of its cash-strapped federal and state governments, a push that extends to airports, sanitation firms and lottery licensing.
