The U.S. Department of Agriculture has begun collecting data or its annual Agricultural Resource Management Survey, or ARMs.

The survey, which will tap more than 100,00 farmers and ranchers, looks at all aspects of U.S. ag production. This year, for the first time since 2010, the survey will examine the production of corn and both organic conventional milk nationwide,

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service and Economic Research Service will use survey results to influence national and state policy-making decision, as well as calculating the farm sector portion of the Gross Domestic Product.
