Man found dead in northwest Minnesota grain bin identified

GARY, Minn — Authorities have identified the man who died in a northwest Minnesota grain bin accident Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5.

Emergency responders found Gerald Chisholm, 62, of rural Gary, dead in a grain bin about 40 miles northeast of Fargo after the Norman County Sheriff's office got a 911 call about a man getting trapped inside of the bin.

His body was taken to Grand Forks for an autopsy and the incident remains under investigation, the sheriff's office said.
