No one was injured when a train hit a tractor Monday afternoon near Minto, N.D., officials said.
A blue New Holland tractor was in motion when it was struck by a southbound BNSF train, said Richie Sherlock, chief deputy of the Walsh County Sheriff's Office. A Walsh County man was driving the tractor but was not injured, he said. The train left the scene at about 3:20 p.m., although tractor cleanup is ongoing.
Sherlock said the incident could have been much worse and "anytime anyone walks away from an accident, it's a good day."
The North Dakota Highway Patrol assisted on scene.
