VIDEO: Early start to planting season keeps area seed suppliers busy

A fairly warm, dry start to the spring season means farmers are getting ready to start planting. Some already have in the southern Valley and western Dakotas.

And that means seed suppliers are busy.

The Petermann Seed Plant near Hawley, Minn., has delivered a lot of wheat seed already.

Brian Petermann says it's one of the earliest starts he can remember. So far he says the season is about two week ahead of schedule, but that can easily change, depending on the weather.
