EDGELEY, N.D. - It's like something right out of the movies: a marriage proposal you can only see from the sky.
Farm field artist Gene Hanson had the chance to help out his grandson, Jaden Wirrenga of Fargo, propose to his girlfriend, Brooke Beske on Thursday, May 24.
Hanson made a special message 10 acres wide - "Brooke will you marry me love Jaden" - and under the ruse of giving Beske her first airplane ride, gave the girlfriend a chance to see the message from above.
Once on the ground, Wirrenga officially proposed on one knee, and Brooke tearfully said "yes."
Hanson has previously made national headlines with his plowed field messages, many politically charged, such as, "We stand for the national anthem," "Trump Nobel Peace Prize," and "GOP get your act together." After the death of Prince, he plowed the singer's love symbol into a field.
