Luke Hagen

Luke Hagen was promoted to editor of the Mitchell Republic in 2014.

He has also served as the newspaper's assistant editor and sports editor. The Alexandria, Minnesota, native was hired at the then-Daily Republic in 2008 as a sports reporter after graduating earlier that year from Minnesota State University-Moorhead with a degree in journalism.

Hagen lives in Mitchell with his wife, Shannon, and two daughters, Grace and Zoey. He writes parenting, community and outdoors columns for the Mitchell Republic and serves on several community boards, including Mitchell Main Street & Beyond.

He enjoys all of South Dakota's outdoor opportunities but especially loves waterfowl hunting and walleye fishing.
