In June 2021, Betaseed awarded scholarships totaling $2,000 to FFA Scholarship winners Taylor Newey and Jarrett Mink. Taylor and Jarrett were selected from a group of 64 Betaseed Scholarship applicants. Betaseed has supported FFA for over five years, and their commitment to students and their potential for leadership, personal growth, and career success in agriculture and related fields.

Taylor is a member of the Richfield FFA Chapter and will major in Rangeland Conversation at the University of Idaho. Taylor has competed in Public Speaking, Dairy Judging, Environment and Natural Resources, Food Science, Nursery and Landscape and Rangeland. She held several positions within the Richfield FFA Chapter over the last several years and acted as the most recent chapter President.

She is was also a member of 4-H Club Leadership and an active athlete including junior varsity volleyball and basketball and was the most recent captain in both sports.

Jarrett Mink is a member of Cambridge FFA Chapter and plants to attend Blue Mountain Community College to study Agricultural Business and Accounting with an intended career as an Accountant or Farmer/Rancher Business Manager.

Jarrett is a member of Cambridge FFA Chapter and plants to attend Blue Mountain Community College to study Agricultural Business and Accounting with an intended career as an Accountant or Farmer/Rancher Business Manager. Positions that Jarrett has held as FFA member have been as Treasurer and most recently, Chapter Vice President. He has competed in several competitions, including Parliamentary Procedure and WID Soils.

In 2019 and 2020, he participated on the Parliamentary Procedure team, which was the district winner for both years. Additionally, Jarret took an active in role in the Associated Student Body, as well as an active volunteer with the Cambridge Commercial Club and at the annual Washington County Fair Board.
