WASHINGTON -- The June index for all crops, at 232, increased 3.6 percent from May and is 7.9 percent above June 2012. Index increases for fruits, nuts and oilseeds more than offset the index decreases for food grains, feed grains, hay, potatoes and dry beans.
The June price for all wheat, at $7.13 per bushel, is down 55 cents from May, but 43 cents higher than June 2012.
The corn price, at $7.02 per bushel, is up 5 cents from May and 65 cents above June 2012. The hay price, at $199 per ton, is down $4 from May, but up $16 from last June. Sorghum grain, at $11.40 per hundredweight, is down 10 cents from May, but $1.84 above June last year.
The soybean price, at $15.10 per bushel, increased 20 cents from May and is $1.20 above June 2012.
The potato price, at $12.33 per hundredweight, is down 56 cents from May, but up $2.40 from last June. The dry bean price, at $37.10 per hundredweight, is up $1 from the previous month, but $7.10 below June 2012.

Compared with a year ago, lower prices for turkeys and calves more than offset higher prices for broilers, milk, hogs, cattle and eggs.
The June hog price, at $72.50 per hundredweight, is up $3.90 from May and $2.30 higher than a year ago. The June beef cattle price of $122 per hundredweight is down $2 from May, but $1 higher than June 2012.
The June milk price of $19.70 per hundredweight is unchanged from May, but up $3.40 from June 2012.
The June market egg price, at 69.4 cents per dozen, decreased 28.2 cents from May, but is 0.5 cents above June 2012. The June broiler price, at 67 cents per pound, is down 1 cent from May, but 17 cents above a year ago. The June turkey price, at 65.8 cents per pound, is up 0.9 cents from June, but down 8.1 cents from a year earlier.
Higher prices in June for concentrates, nitrogen, other services and feeder cattle more than offset lower prices for supplements, feeder pigs, LP gas, diesel and complete feeds. Since May, higher prices for concentrates and feed grains more than offset lower prices for supplements, hay, forages and complete feeds.
Since May, lower prices for feeder pigs more than offset higher prices for feeder cattle. The June feeder cattle price, at $133.80 per hundredweight, is up 50 cents per hundredweight from the May price. June feeder pigs averaged $118 per hundredweight, down $14 per hundredweight from May.
Since May, prices for nitrogen, potash, phosphate and mixed fertilizer are higher.
Compared with May, prices for herbicides, insecticides and fungicides remained the same.

Prices are lower for LP gas and diesel, but higher for gasoline, compared with May.
In June, prices were higher for other machinery and tractors, but lower for self-propelled machinery.
