MITCHELL, S.D. - The staff of AgweekTV and Agweek magazine are descending on Dakotafest. And we’re bringing a cool new toy.

Stop by our booth for a chance to win a Phantom 4 drone, valued at $2,500. Some of the drone’s features include obstacle avoidance, smart return and optimized vision positioning for safe flying. The drone can fly as fast as 44 miles per hour.

“With the new technology, the obstacle avoidance, it’s safer than ever to fly a drone,” says Andrew Wangler at Total Ag in Hillsboro, N.D. “The new P-4 has a mild temper, so it’s quite a bit easier to fly, and that makes it really fun to fly.”

In addition to the drone giveaway, Agweek staff reporters will be roaming the grounds. This includes new team member Michelle Rook, Yankton, S.D., who brings years of ag journalism experience to Agweek.

Attendees also can meet Gail Greenwood, who recently joined the Agweek sales team. Greenwood, a Sioux Falls resident, has more than 20 years of sales experience.

“Dakotafest gives us an opportunity to visit and hear directly from the farmers and ranchers from the region and connect face-to-face with our readers and viewers,” says Agweek general Katie Pinke. “As Agweek expands into South Dakota, it’s important for us to add ag expertise and knowledge from the area.”

The team will be located at Booth 2203.
