The only canola planted in Clay County in west central Minnesota is looking good.
Earlier this season, Steve Rodke switched out some wheat acres, because of the low prices. He planted canola for the first time in 15 years. It survived a mid-May frost and is now in full bloom.
His field is located along Highway 10 south of Hawley, Minn.
