KIEV - Ukrainian farmers have completed the 2015 grain harvest, threshing 61.1 million tons of grain in bunker weight from 100 percent of the planted area, theagriculture ministry said on Friday.
The yield averaged 4.19 ton per hectares compared with 4.39 ton lat year, the ministry said in the statement. It said clean weight harvest could total 60 million tons.
Last month it said the harvest could include about 28 million tons of wheat, around 23 million tons of maize and up to 9 million tons of barley.
The final figure of the harvest will be published in early January.
Ukraine harvested 63.8 million tons of grain in 2014.
