KIEV - Ukraine has harvested 84 percent or 8.1 million hectares of its early grain sowing area and collected 31 million metric tons of grain, Ukraine's Agriculture Ministry said on Monday.
The average yield has totalled 3.83 metric tons per hectare.
Ukraine has harvested 21.5 million metric tons of wheat from 5.2 million hectares. The average yield stood at 4.13 metric ton.
The ministry said Ukraine was likely to harvest around 61 million metric tons of grain this year compared with 60 million metric tons in 2015.
