The Minnesota Department of Health has released guidelines for 'you pick' operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The guidelines include having a designated entrance and exit, additional hand washing stations and not allowing people to eat the berries while they pick.
Tonya and Dean Sanner have owned Firefly Berries near Rochester, Minn., for 10 years. Due to the new guidelines, the Sanners have decided the rules may be too much for their family-run business. Ultimately, they have decided not to open to the public this year.
