Founders of Fargo-based Red E LLC named ND Small Business Persons of the Year
Jesse and Matt Faul operate Red E, a fast-growing engineering services and manufacturing support company based in Fargo that specializes in rebuilding and upgrading farmers’ existing air seeders.
FARGO — The Small Business Administration has named Matthew and Jesse Faul, president and vice president of Fargo-based RED E LLC, the North Dakota Small Business Persons of the Year.
Red E LLC is a leading engineering and aftermarket ag parts distributor for air seeding equipment. By working directly with farmers, Matt and Jesse Faul discovered that after applying fertilizer with an air seeder, corrosion and rust would form quickly and start to affect the air seeder's performance. After testing prototypes in the field, the company designed full stainless-steel kits to replace the complete undercarriage of John Deere 1900 and 1910 model air carts.
Red E has emerged as a trusted source for all things concerning John Deere, Case New Holland, and other air seeders. Being a trusted source has allowed Red E to provide full support from inspecting the air seeder, providing the best aftermarket parts to fit each farmer's field conditions, and installing the parts with their own employees that go onsite to rebuild a farmer's air seeder.
“Red E utilized a variety of U.S. Small Business Administration programs to help grow their business," said SBA North Dakota District Director Alan Haut via statement. "The SBA is excited to be a part of their success and look forward to them representing all North Dakota small businesses during National Small Business Week in May.
The state Small Business Week winners will be recognized on Sunday, April 30, and Monday, May 1, during the National Small Business Week awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. At the event, one of the state/territory winners will be announced as the 2023 National Small Business Person of the Year.
