South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard has signed SB 45, to legalize certain raw milk sales.
The bill, which defines raw milk for human consumption and legalizes raw cream sales, will ensure raw milk sales remain legal and that raw milk producers can thrive under clear, proper regulations.
"Because raw milk is so helpful for my arthritis, I'm thrilled that it will now have its own place in South Dakota statute," says raw milk advocate Gena Parkhurst "This means I will continue to be able to purchase raw milk."
