Christmas lights brighten up holidays on farms and elsewhere

In a recent column, Agweek Publisher Katie Pinke asked readers to send in photos of their holiday décor. Here are some that we received.

In November, before Thanksgiving, Agweek Publisher Katie Pinke asked readers to consider putting up Christmas lights a little early and taking their families out to look at everyone else's lights.

"No matter how difficult 2020 feels, don’t be a Scrooge. Finish strong with a bright display in front of your home, in your window, on your deck, on the top of your grain bin or across your barn. Brighten up the trees in your yard. Then, load up your family and go for a drive. Gaze in child-like wonder at the beauty of the lights and decorations," she wrote.

Readers came through, sending their photos and videos of their displays, both in the country and city.

This holiday season, we are thankful for you, the readers of Agweek, for not only reading and watching our stories but for being willing to share your own lives with us.

Enjoy and have a merry Christmas!
