This time of year, we see Old Glory flying everywhere, but for some farmers, it's an everyday occurrence. In this week's Agweek cover story, Mikkel Pates shares his annual feature of some of the patriotic displays he's seen as he travels the countryside.

As it has all season long, North Dakota continues to take the brunt of the drought in the upper Midwest. The prolonged dry conditions have taken a major toll on hay production in the state. We got the latest from North Dakota State University Extension Rangeland Specialist, Kevin Sedivec.
