Farmers invited to Canola Symposium in Roseau
ST. PAUL, Minn — The Minnesota Canola Council invites farmers to the Canola Symposium, Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Roseau Community Center. The event is free to Minnesota and North Dakota farmers and university personnel.
"We’ve put together a great lineup of speakers to help canola farmers learn how to grow canola more profitably and efficiently,” said Beth Nelson, President of the Minnesota Canola Council. “We’re really excited by our agenda and the potential it holds to benefit canola farmers across the region.”
Presentations will include new information regarding singulation, direct harvest, fertility and research results from the council’s 2018 Canola Production Centre. Additional presentations include information regarding pest pressure in 2018, canola markets, industry innovations in the areas of seed and marketing, and a farmer panel discussion.
A social hour, a funny money auction, and chances to win 20 acres worth of canola seed will follow the afternoon’s educational sessions.
