4-H Sheep Day will be held Saturday, May 21, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Northern Woolen Mills in Fosston, Minn.
The event is supported or hosted by the Sustainable Sheep and Fiber Community of northern Minnesota, several county 4-H programs and woolen mills.
The program starts at 9 a.m. with fleece grading and information on lamb lead sheep showing; 10 a.m., natural wool dying demonstration and workshop; 11 a.m., a sheep shearing demonstration. Lunch is included. At 12 noon is a weaving workshop, followed at 1 p.m., with a program choice of "raising sheep naturally" or breeds and their characteristics for wool and meat.
