Hornbacher’s donates $65,817 to Great Plains Food Bank
FARGO, N.D. — Through donations collected from customers in their annual Check Out Hunger campaign, Hornbacher’s has donated $65,817 to the Great Plains Food Bank, which will help to supply nearly 200,000 meals to those in need across North Dakota and Clay County, Minn. This is the highest total collected yet through the annual campaign.
The campaign, which ran from July 5 until August 1, asked for donations at the checkout lanes of eight different Hornbacher’s stores in Fargo-Moorhead and Grand Forks, N.D. The donation will go directly to helping the programs and services of the Great Plains Food Bank and their 216 partner agencies providing much needed food assistance to over 94,000 hungry individuals each year.
“Hornbacher’s continues to be a leader in the community in their support to help feed our hungry neighbors through both financial and food donations,” Great Plains Food Bank CEO Steve Sellent said. “We thank them for all of their continued support and congratulate them for running yet another successful Check Out Hunger campaign. It is because of continued actions from organizations like Hornbacher’s that we are closer than we have ever been to ending hunger.”
“Hornbacher’s is proud to support The Great Plains Food Bank and partner in their mission to support people with food insecurities,” Hornbacher’s President Matt Leiseth said. “We thank our customers for their continued dedication to helping those in need in our community.”
