Public invited to Sept. 14 Cover Crop Tour

BISMARCK — The Burleigh County Soil Conservation District, through a grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, is hosting a cover crop tour Thursday, Sept. 14, at Menoken Farm, its soil health demonstration site just east of Bismarck.

Justin Zahradka, a crop consultant and farmer from Lawton, N.D., will lead the event, which begins at 4 p.m. and concludes with a dinner at 6 p.m.

Hosting the cover crop tour will be Jay Fuhrer, a soil health specialist with Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Darrell Oswald, a farmer and district technician with Burleigh County Soil Conservation District.
